A recent study reveals that 64% of Brits have partaken in more than one motor-motivated romp. But it’s the lusty Mancunians taking the wheel, steering clear of the boudoir and revving up in their four-wheeled love shacks.
This spirited study found that an impressive 37% of Mancunians prefer their sexual endeavours to be paired with some vehicular vibrato, clearly opting for the adventurous over the traditionally intimate. Yorkshire hot on their tailpipes in second place, with 33% choosing to have their escapades against a backdrop of leather seats and car fresheners.

This titillating survey, conducted by the International Drivers Association, tapped into the private lives of 3,000 motorists. Whilst auto-erotic pursuits aren’t explicitly illegal in the UK, the legal landscape isn’t exactly a joyride. Any public displays that cause offence could result in charges of ‘outraging public decency’, potentially landing you a £1,000 fine or a six-month jail term.
A spokesperson for the International Drivers Association urged car-cuddlers to proceed with caution. “It’s vital to understand the potential legal pitfalls of vehicular intimacy,” they advised. “Cultural norms and laws evolve over time and vary globally. So, awareness and respect for local legislation are key. Let’s not let our intimate thrills jeopardise our freedom or financial stability.”
