Elizabeth Romanova, a professional escort and mother from Northamptonshire, says her work in the sex industry has not only provided financial stability but has made her a better parent.

Now in her early thirties with a 15 year old daughter, she’s spent over a decade in escorting and believes that being honest about her profession aligns with the values she’s instilled in her child kindness, openness, and empowerment.

Her daughter, while not aware of every detail, knows what she does for a living. Elizabeth says lying about her job would contradict the principles she’s worked to teach.

I’ve always wanted to raise her to be accepting of all people and their choices,” she explained. “Hiding the truth would only create shame around something I’m not ashamed of.”

She began escorting at 18 while still in school and eventually left university to pursue it full-time, driven by the need to support her child as a single mum.

For Elizabeth, the job offered what few others could: control, flexibility, and financial independence. “It allowed me to be there for my daughter while still earning a stable income,” she said. “I could give her a loving home and a life I always dreamed of providing.”

More than just a means of survival, she sees escorting as a profession that has helped her grow into a stronger, more independent woman traits she believes make her a more capable and present mother.

My proudest role is being a parent,” she said. “And I genuinely feel like I’ve shown my daughter what strength and independence look like in a woman.”

Elizabeth openly challenges the stigma around sex work, insisting it’s far from soulless or degrading. She promotes her services through Vivastreet and says her work is filled with purpose and personal agency.

People assume sex work is shallow, but that couldn’t be further from my experience. It takes resilience, compassion, and intelligence,” she said. “I know who I am, and I don’t let other people’s judgments define me.”

Despite ongoing societal judgement, she refuses to hide who she is or how she makes a living. “Sex work is valid work,” Elizabeth said.

“It’s helped me build a life of strength and dignity for myself and for my daughter. And that’s something I’ll never be ashamed of.”
