A former Babestation icon has opened up about her early days on the adult TV channel, revealing that callers would wait hours on the line just to speak to her.

Camilla’s career began unexpectedly after entering a last-minute bikini contest during a night out in Mayfair.

After winning, she was approached by a woman who turned out to work in TV. A card found in her pocket the next morning led to her first presenting gig, where she read out viewer messages and eventually took live calls.

She quickly found herself enjoying the unscripted energy of speaking to strangers on air. Soon after, Babestation noticed her and offered her a spot on their channel when she was just 23.
She says her appeal wasn’t just about looks it was her humour and down-to-earth nature that made her stand out. Fans would spot her in local pubs, and she’d happily share a drink and a laugh.

Some even kept track of every appearance she made, with one man recording every show she was on. While the attention was mostly positive, it sometimes became overwhelming, especially when she was stopped in public while just running errands. Despite the fame, she always saw herself as just a regular woman from Oxfordshire.
For many viewers, Camilla offered more than a visual escape she gave them connection. She recalls hundreds of men waiting in phone queues, sending gifts and calling regularly to maintain a kind of bond with her.
Her seductive chats, paired with flirtatious humour, gave many the sense of a personal relationship.

In the days before adult content was everywhere online, being able to speak with someone like her on TV felt thrilling and rare.
Camilla recently returned for a stint on Babestation Legends, reconnecting with some of her longtime fans.
One caller told her he still watches her old tapes with his partner on special occasions, while others said she was the first woman they ever saw in that way. She was touched by the support and says the respect for the brand and the women on it is still strong.

Though some callers get overexcited or cross boundaries, Camilla knows how to handle it with confidence and charm.
Recently nominated for Mature Model of the Year at the UK Glamour Awards, she’s proud to still be part of an industry she helped shape and thrilled to see her legacy celebrated.
