Luana Kazaki, a 27-year-old influencer from São Paulo, has sparked major debate online after posting a photo showing a period stain on her gym shorts.
Known for her unconventional relationship with her husband Arthur O Urso and his five other “wives,” Luana frequently shares personal moments with her 800,000+ Instagram followers.
But her latest post, showing blood-stained white shorts mid-workout, pushed many followers into outrage mode though she insists she couldn’t care less.

In the viral image, Luana poses in the gym wearing white shorts and a black bandeau top. Her caption explained how she initially felt humiliated after realizing she had bled through her clothes.

People were looking at me and I didn’t understand why. When I checked, I saw the stain. I died of shame,” she wrote. “Despite the judgment, this is super natural. Women menstruate every month, and sometimes it leaks. I’m not guilty of anything.”
Speaking to Nude Newz, she recalled how other gymgoers reacted. Some stared, others tried to look away, and one woman even approached her to ask if something was wrong.
At first, Luana admits she was embarrassed, but once she processed what had happened, she became angry. “All women go through this every month.

Why is it still treated like something shameful?” she said. “Menstruation is a sign that our bodies are functioning naturally. Why is blood still a taboo?”
Determined to challenge the stigma, she used the post to open a conversation about how society reacts to something so routine.
There are more serious things to be concerned about. People need to stop putting period blood in the ‘taboo’ box,” she said. “I’m now ashamed that I ever felt ashamed.”

Online, reactions were split. Some users shamed her for turning a personal moment into a public spectacle. “She’s ashamed but posts it for the world to see,” one critic wrote, while another asked, “Did this really need to be shared?”
Others, however, supported her honesty. Many recounted similar experiences and praised her for being real.

One man said he once gave his shirt to a girl who had a period leak, while another said he would quietly let someone know without judgment. “It’s part of being a woman and it’s okay,” another commenter wrote.
Despite the backlash, Luana stands firm in her message. She wants both men and women to normalize menstruation and stop treating it like something shameful.
