After undergoing two failed Brazilian Butt Lift surgeries in Turkey that left her physically scarred and financially drained, Australian model Alanna Pow finally achieved the results she wanted after a third operation in Australia that cost her £43,000.
The 22 year old former flight attendant was initially drawn to budget surgery deals abroad. Her first procedure left her thighs uneven and her confidence shattered.
She claims the doctor took too much fat from her lower thighs, leaving a wavy appearance that made her feel insecure daily.

Her second trip to Turkey, which included a free nose job as part of the package, didn’t go any better. Although the rhinoplasty healed well, the BBL again left her unhappy and in pain.
In total, she spent £18,000 and traveled more than 13,000 miles for disappointing results. Eventually, she gave up on Turkey and opted for a final procedure back home in Australia. This time, the experience was far more clinical and demanding.
Unlike Turkey, where she had round-the-clock care for three nights, her Australian surgery was a one-day procedure. She was sent home two hours later with only oral painkillers and had to manage open drains on her own, which she described as messy and endless.
Recovery in Australia was stricter. Her surgeon required daily lymphatic massages for six weeks at £120 each and made her book a business class seat home to avoid pressure on her butt. Despite the steep costs, Alanna says the results were worth it.
The Australian surgeon used Vaser liposuction to tighten the skin, fixing her legs, shaping her hips, and slimming her waist.
Now living in Bali and earning £110,000 a month, Alanna doesn’t regret the journey but warns others against seeking cheap surgery abroad.
She says Australian clinics are stricter, requiring mental health evaluations and cooling-off periods, but those safeguards lead to better results. Her advice is clear: save up and do it properly.
