Model Marie Temara, who stands at a striking 6ft 3in, says she’s received surprise DMs from some of the biggest names in the NBA, including Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant, along with music stars like Lil Jon.
Known for her towering height and massive online following, Marie says she was stunned when both O’Neal and Durant allegedly slid into her messages, calling it a surreal moment as a lifelong basketball fan.
“Kevin Durant asked me how tall I was, and Shaq has messaged me a few times,” Marie said. “It was flattering because I idolised them growing up.”
She also recalled Lil Jon complimenting a video he mistakenly thought showed her dunking though it was actually her brother. Still, she was thrilled he’d seen her content at all.

Despite the attention, Marie says she doesn’t overthink it, noting that she gets messages from other rappers too but doesn’t always remember who.
The 6ft 3in model, who now earns $10 million largely through OnlyFans, left behind a six-figure job in accounting to focus on content creation, much of which plays off her height and the daily awkwardness it brings.
Height runs in the family. Her brothers, Shane and Troy, are 6ft 10in and 6ft 9in and both play basketball professionally.

Like Marie, they’ve capitalised on their stature, creating viral content around being tall. Shane reportedly makes around $100,000 a year from his content, while Troy brings in $50,000.
Marie says her brothers were more excited than she was about the celebrity DMs. “I think they thought it was cooler than I did,” she said.
Their videos often feature tall-person struggles, like ducking under doorways, fitting into small cars or reaching for things on high shelves, alongside pranks, skits, and dances that have helped build their audience.
