Elaina St James, a 56-year-old model from Chicago, has sparked heated reactions online after declaring she only dates men in their 20s, claiming older men just can’t keep up in or out of the bedroom.
Her current boyfriend is 23, making him 33 years her junior, and she says he’s the youngest she’s been with so far, but also the most exciting.
In a now-viral Instagram video that’s racked up nearly 28,000 views, Elaina explained why she’s done with dating men her age. Speaking to NudePR, she described her younger lover as sweet, laid-back and full of energy with a great physique and a full head of hair.

For her, younger men bring a sense of vitality and playfulness that older men have lost. She added that while she won’t date anyone under the legal drinking age, she can’t imagine going out with anyone over 40 again. “They become grumpy old men,” she said.
Having previously dated older guys, Elaina said she became fed up with routine, health problems and lacklustre sex. “It was just the same thing over and over one position, no spontaneity,” she said.
Sex felt like a chore.” In contrast, she claims her younger partners are enthusiastic, attentive and thrilled by her body, which she describes as “exotic” to them.
She’s even embraced labels like “milf” and “cougar,” saying it’s empowering to still be seen as a sexual being in her 50s.
But it’s not just about sex. Elaina says younger men come with fewer complications. “Older guys are worried about retirement, alimony or grown-up problems,” she said. “Younger men have fun money, want to go out and enjoy experiences.”
While she’s not looking for anything long-term or marriage, she says these flings are exactly what she wants right now.
The model posted a video listing her top five reasons for dating men in their 20s, which included being healthier, more active, less dramatic and more open to older women. As expected, social media was divided.
Some commenters were all in “I support this decision! I’m 25,” one wrote while others rolled their eyes. “Yeah, good luck with that,” someone else commented.
Still, plenty of users chimed in with flirty replies, while others questioned whether the dynamic would really hold up over time.
For Elaina though, the message is simple: she’s done with dull relationships and embracing her desires unapologetically.
